TED CANT – Senior Associate Marine Surveyor

 

 

Individual with 35+ years experience in industrial engineering, management, technical and sales applications including 5 years of International experience. Boat owner and sailor for over 30 years. Full-time Marine  Surveyor for  past 9 years. 

 

 

Marine and Related Experience

 

Fibreglass (FRP) repairs and maintenance.

Propulsion system maintenance and repairs, including inboard engine replacements.

LPG Systems.

Rebuilt sail and power boats including electrical, new designs, galley’s, plumbing, mechanical, etc.

Extensive experience in troubleshooting and developing processes in industry.

Organized and timely in completing tasks.

Ability to compose thorough concise reports and records.

This experience is combined with a formal education in Yacht and Small Craft Surveying with emphisis on hull construction, propulsion, boat systems, and what to look for in a good survey.

Completed Marine Surveying course with dicipline in Yachts and Small Crafts.

In addition to traditional surveying methods, Cris utilizes Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for underwater inspections, enabling detailed floating structure assessments, mooring evaluations, and submerged structure examinations without the need for costly and intrusive dry docking or traditional divers.  

 

This advanced capability enhances the accuracy and efficiency of surveys, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of a marine facilities condition.
